She was recognized for her role in the medical drama series St. Elsewhere as Ellen Craig. Credits to Bartlett and her husband, actor William Daniels, who played her fictitious spouse, Dr. Mark Craig, were the first married pair to win an Emmy on the same night since Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne back in 1965.
