Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel developed their love for each other when they met on the set of the Broadway musical Rent in 1995. The two were the play’s original cast members, and here, a romance began to brew. Though the former couple only got married in 2003, they had been together for 11 years before they officially parted ways in 2013.

Diggs and Menzel have one kid, Walker Nathaniel, who is now eight years old. Despite their separation, they promise that their child will always come first. The actress says they have to get past their egos and never talk wrong about each other. Diggs adds Walker will always be their primary objective.
